Which parts can I request for my FJ Cruiser?
Engines, transmissions, transfer cases, rear axles and differentials, and ABS modules for 2007–2014 FJ Cruisers. For anything else, choose Other part in the form and tell us what you need when we call. Requesting a part does not confirm stock; we check availability for your exact build.
Which engine does the Toyota FJ Cruiser use?
Every US FJ Cruiser has Toyota’s 4.0-liter 1GR-FE V6. Engines from 2010 onward use dual VVT-i, so a 2007–2009 engine and a 2010–2014 engine are not the same unit. Give us your model year and VIN and we will match the right version.
Will a 1GR-FE engine from a 4Runner or Tacoma fit my FJ Cruiser?
Do not assume it will. The 1GR-FE was used in other Toyota trucks, but accessories, wiring, mounts and the VVT-i version can differ between applications and years. Ask which vehicle the engine came from and have your installer review the swap before you buy.
How do I match an FJ Cruiser transmission or transfer case?
Tell us whether the truck is automatic or manual and two-wheel or four-wheel drive, then share the VIN and any tag numbers on the original unit. Automatic 4x4 trucks use a part-time transfer case, while manual 4x4 trucks use full-time four-wheel drive, so the two are not interchangeable.
How much does a used FJ Cruiser engine or transmission cost?
Price depends on the exact assembly, its condition, documented mileage where available and current availability. Call with your truck’s details for a quote, then confirm the total delivered price and the written warranty before you order.
Do you ship FJ Cruiser parts, and is there a warranty?
Yes. Shipping is free across the US, and engines and transmissions travel by freight, so tell us whether the address is a repair shop, business or home. Warranty options up to three years are available; ask for the written terms for your part.
